Wow I didn’t know that the word “working poor” is on English Wikipedia! The word become famous in Japan few years ago but I have never paid attention to it until recently. Now that I came back from overseas, I found out about people who earn less than 2,000,000 yen (roughly $20,000) per year! Many of them are young single parents and fired middle-age men with family. How can a whole family live with only $20,000 in a bank account? Its hard to imagine. The more shocking fact to me is that these kind of families are often found in countrysides. My home town is 9hrs away from our capital, Tokyo. We have many graying population and decreasing young generation. We have serious shortage of employers and the minimum wage rate is seriously low. Im not saying that this kind of problem does not exist in city area, but it is true that the situation is the worst in countrysides. Why did this happen? How? Life is getting really tough in here. Big companies are able to find cheap labor out side of Japan, but what is going to happen to us? Once they find a way to lower cost, they will cut you off without hesitation. It does not matter how loyal you are to that company. If you want security in your life, I would suggest founding your own company. My current dream is to open my business in countryside, and create job opportunity for the locals. I don’t care about how much profit I make. I want my business to be sufficient enough to sustain life of me and my co-workers.

OMG I hate her I hate her I hate her!!! Why can’t we get along?! She does not let other people have conversation. If I say “You should eat rice instead of snack for breakfast,” she’d go “Why can’t I eat snack for breakfast!!!” I don’t understand why she has to make everything complicated and unfriendly. I was just concerning her health because she eats unhealthy. For her, being commented by others always means criticism. I guess that is what she has been doing to others. ESP. to female peers. Every time we are together in a dressing room, she would look at me like I am one fat sister. But hey, being chubby does not determine one’s personality or way of life. I remember she was laughing at a dwarf person in a street. That person did not want to be born like that. Its just way he happened to be. WTF she had to laugh at him??? Judging people is NOT COOL. As long as she keeps doing this, she cannot find her place anywhere cuz nobody wants person like her around.
I got a notice from local government’s office saying that they hire me for a temporary position starting from January 10th. Im so happy! Now I can earn some money for job hunting!!!
